A bit more about Knits4Comfort...

My dyeing studio fits perfectly in my 2nd bedroom closet so I am a small, one-lady business! I kettle dye my yarn in 2 skeins dye-lots.  I take time to make sure each skein is washed and dried thoroughly after dyeing to ensure that you are receiving the quality of yarn that I expect from myself.

All yarn has merino superwash, which means it is machine washable in cold water. However, hand washing is recommended to maintain the integrity of the yarn. Lay flat to dry. This yarn is thoroughly rinsed, however, as with all hand dyed yarn, it is recommended that the first washing be done separately as a precaution.

The yarn is dyed in the comfort of my smoke-free, dog friendly home. The yarn is dried for at least 3 days after it is dyed and stored in plastic containers to ensure that it is dry and ready to be loved by you!

  • It is always best to be better safe than sorry with yarn. If the yarn is superwash, you can use the washing machine and maybe the dryer. I always tend to stay on the side of caution and use the washing mashing with cold water but hang to dry.
